There are lots of exciting projects going on at the Scrubs and across west London.

New Nature Conservation Officer

NettyNetty Ribeaux is Groundwork London’s new Nature Conservation Officer. With a background in environmental education, biology, ecology and environmental management, Netty is working in partnership with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and the Friends of Wormwood Scrubs Local Nature Reserve, to develop and run nature conservation activities on the Scrubs.

Keen to promote wildlife and plant survey work on the scrubs, Netty aims to recruit volunteers to get hands-on with practical conservation work such as surveying for wildlife and using traditional land management practices such as hedgelaying and scything.

Netty said: “Everyone is welcome to come along and get involved with the wildlife on the scrubs. Activities include practical volunteering, school and group visits, guided walks and the annual Family Fun Day. Whether you are an individual or a part of a group, please contact me to find out more and get involved on 020 8740 3040 or netty.ribeaux@groundwork.org.uk.”
