Hedgelaying
Numbers are limited so please book
Hedgelaying is the traditional art of partially felling trees to create a hedge or stock barrier. The resultant hedge will be thicker and healthier than an unlaid hedge and provides food and shelter for a variety of different wildlife.
In order to provide a variety of age structures and densities of hedge there is an ongoing project to lay the hedge along Wormwood scrubs lane in stages over the course of 5-10 years. By the time the entire hedge has been laid the first bits will be ready to be re-laid and the process can start again resulting in a sustainable healthy hedgerow.
